CHALLENGE 6: MONSTER HUNT Find your way to a relatively remote place in nature for this challenge (for those of you bound to a city, your urban jungle will work just fine). Keep your eyes open for things that lurk in the wild. Document any signs of the unexplainable while you are there- footprints, claw marks, and other signs that something else shares the woods with you. Of course, if you have any direct sightings of things which can not be explained, be sure to share your documentation, findings, your theories, and your experiences within the Legendeer Facebook group. You have permission to let your imagination run wild during this week’s challenge. Objective. Narrative development- the human mind naturally draws associations between disconnected things. Through priming with the introduction of the architecture of a simple narrative, we begin to look for clues and signs by which to complete that narrative. Priming can be a powerful tool in narrative development, as “an implicit memory effect in which exposure to one stimulus influences a response to another stimulus.” (from Wikipedia)Legendeer. n. legnd-ēr

The author of creative content which is informed through direct personal experience.

The first Legendeer challenge begins today.

Challenge: Visit an unfamiliar location three times this week that requires you to run, hike, bike, or arrive by some means that requires some physical exertion. You choose the distance, pace and the days. This is to your comfort level only- time, fitness level and distance do not matter.

Once there, sketch, write about, video, or photograph the location. Repeat three times and post results to the Legendeer Facebook group.https://www.facebook.com/groups/226325077539940/

My new organization wallpaper for my desktop. Hot pink and gray? Yeah, kinda feeling that these days. The center illustration is an image I created for my ongoing painting series entitled The Spoils (www.sterlinghundley.com)

Attached is a clean copy, if you care to use, share, alter- drop in your own image/words/color scheme. I’d love to see how they are being used. The image is suited for a 17” display- 1900 x 1200 resolution. Let me know if you’d like it set to a specific resolution size.
