STRETCH INCENTIVE: #5 ORIGINAL INK DRAWING ON 8 1/2” x 11” HEAVY-WEIGHT PAPER of “Ambition”. I intend to develop the “Ambition” character as a dimensional sculpture for the second exhibition in “The Spoils of Saint Hubris” series where he will play a large role in this developing narrative. These 10 ink drawings will be essential in the development of this important sculpture and will be chronicled through my blog, and offered as one color, limited edition prints when completed. This is your opportunity to own the original drawing that inspires the sculpture and prints. *Stretch rewards are not offered in combination with other reward levels.
Image shown is the concept sketch only. The final drawings will be refined to a level of finish.
“Illustration is Blue Collar – both pervasive and accessible. It is art that must survive in spite of commerce and function. There is a desperation to the thing; illustration that doesn’t work doesn’t eat. Given limitations in time to communicate and the space in which to do it, illustration must answer a question.
Fine Art is White Collar – reclusive with airs of mystery and sophistication. It is pursued. Given the abundance of space in which it is viewed and the time which it is afforded, fine art has the luxury of asking a question.”
